Times are changing, fortunately Indies are ahead of the curve. I assume you know, the curve paper back publishers and their support industries are missing as they fly off the cliff.
For obvious reasons publishers do not devote a lot of effort and far less investment into new authors, the reasons are valid. New author sales comprise less than 4% of gross sales overall and overhead cost for paper products including books continue to rise. Is it any wonder they to are hedging their bets with electronic publishing, but what is their role there?
